Who can volunteer?

Absolutely anyone can volunteer we have no age limits – but if you are under 16 you may need to come along with an adult.

When can I volunteer?

We do activities Monday to Thursday each week, Fridays are only for planning and catching up on other things so we’re not out on site, unfortunately we don’t work weekends

Where are our projects?

Projects are across Blaenau Gwent and could be anywhere – but we do have transport which picks up volunteers each day, we do have sites of our own in Cwm and work from Parc Bryn Bach each Wednesday morning.

What skills can I learn?

Very varied, from simple grass cutting through to dry-stone walling and tree planting – it really does depend on what we’re doing on the day. Much of our work over the summer months covers planting tubs and hanging baskets along with watering. We do regular strimmer and brushcutter licences and other training courses.

Yes it’s absolutely free – work boots will be provided and all you’ll need to bring is yourself

What age can I volunteer?

For coming along alone we can only work with people 16+ but often run sessions from our Cwm Meadows community gardens which include family groups

Which towns do you cover?

Accepted Answer

Our teams pick up from anywhere in Blaenau Gwent each morning and our activities can be anywhere across South Wales but are again usually in Blaenau Gwent
